The Shop
Built by hand, one household at a time.
Rui Silva Fine Carpentry, LLC is a family-run workshop based at 1226 N Hixville Road in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. What started as one carpenter taking on kitchen and cabinetry work around the South Coast has grown into a shop trusted for built-ins, staircases, and restoration work that has to be right the first time.
We keep every project small enough to walk through by hand — from the first measurement to the final coat of finish — because fine carpentry doesn't scale past what you can personally stand behind.

Every piece leaves the shop measured twice, joined by hand, and finished to match the room it's going into.

We come to your home, take real measurements, and talk through how the piece needs to live in the room.
Drawing & Quote
You get a sketch, a species and finish plan, and a fixed quote before any wood is cut.
Shop Build
Joinery, assembly, and sanding happen on N Hixville Road, on the bench Rui built the shop around.
Fit & Finish
We install on-site, scribe it to the room, and apply final finish coats in place.

Registered with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Filed with the Corporations Division under General Laws, Chapter 156C — the same paperwork we keep tacked above the bench.
